BIOFILTERATION SYSTEMS
On our bike path, we had drainage issues. We believe that in order for kids to play, we have to be mindful of the environment so that JOY lasts for more than just one generation. We are building a biofilteration system to prevent erosion and protect our ground water on our North Side Bike Path.
COMMUNITY MURAL:
A Rose that Grew From a Crack in the Concrete
We worked with commnity members to build a community mural on 41st and Inca of a rose growing from the concrete. The poem symbolizes what it can be like for a child to grow up in poverty and persevere.
PROJECTS
THE NORTHSIDE BIKE PATH
We are currently working with the city of Denver to build a green bike path that will connect the North Side Projects with the Denver Bike Path System. We believe all communities should be connnected by bike paths!
BIKE SHARE PILOT PROGRAM
We are working with Denver Parks and Recreation to begin a bike share program where kids can rent a bike using their MY Denver Cards for free!
